Martin is a rangy 6-foot-7 forward with good length and fluid athleticism. Jael Martin, Los Angeles Elite 16u Premier – Martin might be one of the more unknown big men in SoCal, but, if he continues to play the way we saw at the Marquee Hoops event, his stock will continue to rise. Hightower also showed good touch at the mid-range and three-point levels of the floor. The 6-foot guard is an elite attacker of the basket in transition where he uses his speed and body control to blow-by defenders to get to the rim for high percentage buckets.

Gavin Hightower, Team WhyNot 16u – Hightower was one of SoCal’s premier scorers as a freshman and he’s carried that title into the club season with Team WhyNot. Marquardt is a physical low-post finisher who looks to dunk everything in the paint and plays with great energy on both ends of the floor. Marquardt, a Garfield (WA) high school product, has great hands and touch when catching and finishing around the basket and, combined with his footwork, is a really tough matchup for most interior defenders on the club level.

Here are the top prospects we saw on the weekend.Ħ'9" | SF Garfield | 2023 State WA, Emerald City 17u – The 6-foot-8 forward is both physical and skilled around the basket. This event fell on the second live period of the spring which permitted college coaches of all levels to be in the gym watching potential recruits taking live reps. LADERA RANCH - The Marquee Hoops West Coast League made a stop at Ladera Sports Center for its third session of the spring.
